Customized Package Design for Flexo Printing

Weyerhauser is one of the leading manufacturers of private label disposable diapers, and produces individual packages for 50+ accounts. The product line featured four SKU's which resulted in 200+ package designs and an inventory nightmare.

Our work with the Brand team consolidated all of the package design into a system that allowed the retailer some flexibility but at the same time, built a brand franchise around "Ultra Softs with the Wonder Dry System." Most of the back, side, top and bottom panels were kept consistent from account to account. The front display panel is where the accounts were offered customization.

With consideration of account size and location, the Brand was able to efficiently deliver "customized" package design to each account. Across each of the two basic designs (one of which is pictured here) the retailer was offered a wide choice of baby/child photography, store logo placement and color-coding to support their own private label program.
