Black Gold

This redesign is for a soil mix line of 20+ products with 60+ SKU. Though the existing packaging was very dated, the products enjoyed a very strong/loyal customer base in the West. Therefore, it was important to maintain some equity as the company expanded distribution.The design we created maintains a “tombstone” structure, reinforced with strong product color-coding and an illustration dominated by one flower. Other plants appropriate for the soil mixes are also shown to differentiate between products, showing the customer additional case uses.
